Domestic Violence Prevention Initiative Kicks Off

“Love Doesn’t Hurt” Music Video Release: Thursday, October 20, 2022, 8 a.m.


What: YWCA Greater Baton Rouge newly created music and video production aims to increase awareness and prevention of domestic violence during the worldwide YWCA Week Without Violence events in Baton Rouge. Also, there will be a national virtual town hall on domestic violence from Thursday, October 20, from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. Register at


Why: YWCA-Greater Baton Rouge is joining in the global movement of Week Without Violence to end violence against women and girls. The new production aims to raise awareness, elevate survivor voices, talk with policy makers, and learn how and where to get assistance. The common goal is to end gender-based violence. Baton Rouge has a high incidence of domestic violence.
